For those reading the head restoration project aboard MV Tortuga – you know I’ve been frustrated by the copper tubing leak which was above the portlight.  A previous owner (to be un-named) cut the tubing then patched it by putting rubber hose and clamps on it.  This increased the clearance required to beyond the space available above the teak panel insert.  So for several days I’ve been searching for a vendor for metric copper tubing.

It turns out that the best seems to be Maryland Metric.  They can be reached at (800) 638-1830 or on the Web at http://mdmetric.com.  I spoke with John who knew exactly what I needed.  I have not confirmed if the tubing is 10mm or 12mm.  So I bought a straight compression fitting in both sizes to be sure.  They cost about $6.00 each.
